A shocking incident unfolded outside a Scarborough mall, where two individuals were violently assaulted during a confrontation, leading police to seek the help of the community in identifying four suspects involved in the altercation.
On January 1st, just after 9 p.m., authorities responded to reports of an assault near the intersection of McCowan Road and Finch Avenue East. According to the police, the chaos began inside a restaurant located within Woodside Square Mall, where a group of four individuals engaged in a dispute with two other patrons.
This disagreement quickly escalated, spilling out into the mall area and resulting in a physical fight. During this confrontation, the two victims were reportedly subjected to severe violence at the hands of the group, leaving them with significant injuries that, thankfully, are not life-threatening.
In light of this troubling event, police released a statement on Thursday, including images of the suspects believed to be in their twenties or thirties, along with detailed descriptions to aid in their identification. The first suspect is noted for having short black hair and wearing eyeglasses, paired with a black jacket and light-colored pants. The second suspect also has short black hair and was seen wearing dark attire, including a dark jacket and black pants, alongside eyeglasses.
The third individual stands out with long black hair and was dressed entirely in black clothing when the incident occurred. Finally, the fourth suspect was observed wearing a green hoodie.
